For our Positive Impact November 2017, the Payline Giving team served alongside members of the community organization A Just Harvest to support the fight against homelessness and hunger in the Chicagoland community.
According to their website, A Just Harvest’s mission is to fight poverty and hunger in the Rogers Park and greater Chicago community by providing nutritious meals daily while cultivating community and economic development and organizing across racial, cultural and socioeconomic lines in order to create a more just society. In partnership with more than 30 community organizations, the organization has increased their dinner service to seven nights a week. People in need count on their Community Kitchen 365 days a year.
Payline participated in preparing and serving a meal on November 13. In total, we served 120 individuals a warm meal. We also contributed to the growing needs of A Just Harvest. Their daily operating costs total $1000 and Payline sponsored 3 days of the busy holiday season. Payline team members also contributed to the food pantry at A Just Harvest.

Looking Ahead to Next Month’s Positive Impact
For December, Payline will be focusing on supporting Human Rights initiatives by working with Heartland Alliance. Heartland Alliance is one of the world’s leading anti-poverty organizations, and works in communities in the U.S. and abroad to serve those who are homeless, living in poverty, or seeking safety. The organization provides a comprehensive array of services in the areas of health, housing, jobs and social justice – and leads state and national policy efforts, which target lasting change for individuals and society. Payline will be sponsoring local refugee families for the holidays as well as participating in a Stocking Stuffer program for families seeking safety from their home country.
