Our Positive Impact July 2017 centered around support for veterans and current military by working with Volunteers of America, specifically their Chicago Veterans Services branch. Their mission is to help end and prevent veterans from becoming homeless by providing a wide array of well-designed and managed services to meet the specific needs of veterans. The Payline team assembled wellness kits in our office as part of our positive impact initiative that included shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and basic toiletries that support these veterans. We exceeded our goal of packing 200 wellness kits.
Additionally, the Payline team spent an evening preparing and serving dinner at Hope Manor 1 for veterans of the Volunteers of America program in Chicago. Together, we hope to continue to make a difference in the lives of those who served by supporting veterans in building back their confidence and pride and sustaining independence.

Looking Ahead to Next Month’s Positive Impact
This month, Payline will focus on Education issues that affect the students in our surrounding community. We will be specifically working with Back 2 School Illinois, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to create and support educational opportunities that enrich the lives of Illinois children.
Additionally, the Payline team will assemble school supply kits for area students to get their school year off to a great start. Last year, the Back 2 School initiative provided over 890,000 school supplies to nearly 30,000 underprivileged children in the state. As the largest school supply distribution program in the entire state, Back 2 School Illinois requires thousands of volunteer hours year-round to help support the needs of Illinois students who depend on the program.
